Vegan Initiative Dynamic Association is proud to present the first-ever San Antonio VegFest 2019, to be held on Saturday, August 31st at Sunset Station! San Antonio VegFest seeks to inspire people to reduce environmental pollution and animal suffering, caused by factory farming, by choosing to live a plant-based lifestyle—veganism.
Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose. There are many ways to embrace vegan living. Yet one thing all vegans have in common is a plant-based diet, avoiding all animal foods such as meat (including fish, shellfish and insects), dairy, eggs, and honey – as well as avoiding animal-derived materials, products tested on animals and places that use animals for entertainment.
San Antonio VegFest will feature nationally recognized speakers, informative exhibitors, cooking demos, yoga sessions, live musical performances, a large variety of vegan food vendors, exclusive festival giveaways, interactive activities, and a catered Vegan VIP area, which will include delicious samples of vegan food from vegan-friendly restaurants and food companies.
The festival is supported by the non-profit V.I.D.A. (Vegan Initiative Dynamic Association). V.I.D.A inspires interest and engagement in the vegan movement by organizing innovative events and creating opportunities for activism. Their programs celebrate and strengthen San Antonio’s vegan community while encouraging everyone to consider more compassionate and sustainable choices.
San Antonio VegFest will be a kid and pet-friendly event. Children 12 years of age and younger will receive free admission. Tickets are available online at www.eventbrite.com.
