The Texas Folklife Festival is the biggest cultural celebration in Texas! More than 40 different cultural groups in Texas are represented at the festival, and each year, more than 250 participant groups come together to celebrate their culture and heritage.
Located on the grounds of the Institute of Texan Cultures on the UTSA Hemisfair Campus, the annual three-day event showcases the Lone Star State's diversity and rich heritage through a wide variety of ethnic food, music, dance, arts, and crafts.
The UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures will host the 48th iteration of The Texas Folklife Festival, gathering a myriad of Texan cultures together in a celebration of their heritage, music, art, dance, food, artisan skills, and more.
The three-day festival includes five stages of music and entertainment; more than 60 skilled artisans demonstrating crafts such as blacksmithing, wine making, and pottery; living historians portraying Texas pioneers, military and frontier folk; vendors selling hand-made Texas wares such as soaps, artwork and décor; and much more.
Dozens of food vendors prepare a menu teeming with authentic offerings such as German schnitzel, Filipino lumpia, Belgian mussels, Greek gyros, Lebanese shishkebabs, Wendish noodles, Romanian sausage ,and other delectable offerings.
